It’s Monday, y’all! Although this past weekend was great and this upcoming weekend is gearing up to be as well, I’m trying not to wish away my days. Week days receive so much hatred when really we should give them praise. These are the days that allow us to gain growth and strength in our career, health, finances, and most major areas of our life. So, let’s start this week off on the right foot.  Let’s kick our goals and to-do lists’ bootay with the mindset that our week days can be just as awesome as our weekends.
With that being said, I’m beginning this week right here with styling. Lately, my outfits have mostly consisted of spring transition like this one I shared last week. Well, I’m here again today to show y’all another outfit idea to help you inch your way into the new season. This one isn’t as straight forward as the last I shared. In fact, I mixed things up to create more versatility with the outfit pieces.
The 3 main outfit items I am wearing are: a tee, flare denim, and a dress. I know this sounds like a crazy combo, but with a little touch of styling I think the 3 came together nicely. Creating this outfit began with tying a loose knot at the front of the tee (which by the way, this tee is incredibly soft and quite possibly the most comfy tee I’ve ever worn). Then, I completely unbuttoned the dress, rolled up the sleeves, and threw it on as a kimono. I paired the layered tops with flare pull-on denim and a layered choker necklace.
Voilà! There you have a simple outfit to make the most of your closet.
Challenge yourself to not be afraid to layer with your wardrobe. I’m sure once you give it a try you will be amazed by how many different outfit combinations you can come up with! All images by Heather Burris Photography.
