The holiday season is here in full swing! In the midst of all the holiday hustle and bustle, let’s all just take a second to breath and remember what makes this time of year so special.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to escape my typical daily routine with Meghan from I’m Fixin’ To blog. She and I took a trip to The Fearrington Village for an overnight stay at their inn. As soon as we entered the the tranquil setting at Fearrington, it made me realize the importance of stepping away from life’s craziness every now and then.
Placed right in the middle of North Carolina’s rolling hills, The Fearrington Village is a unique combination of shops, eateries, and areas of relaxation – including a spa! Walking around the brick paths beneath my feet while surrounded by perfectly manicured lawns, I found it hard to believe that this gorgeous escape is just a stones throw from Raleigh.
The Fearrington Village Inn is considered a Relais & Chateaux getaway in a pastoral setting. From the moment we received our golden room keys, there was no doubt in our minds that this place offered upscale hospitality.Meghan and I stayed in a Deluxe Room (one of the four room options available). Above is a view of when our front door was first opened. We were welcomed into our room with apples, snacks, bottled waters, and chocolate from Fearrington’s in-house Chocolatier.
My most favorite part about the suite was definitely the bathroom. I mean, how gorgeous is this clean, crisp white setting? As if the look of it wasn’t enough, fresh flowers were arranged on the countertop, the soaps provided by Fearrington were Molton Brown, and our towel rack was temperature controlled. I’m telling you, I wanted to wrap up this bathroom and take it home with me so I could get ready in it everyday.
This courtyard with the Garden House was steps away from our room. We enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning by the fireplace here. It was an added bonus in the morning that each guest receives a NY Times paper at their front door step.
For anyone who visits the Fearrington Village, I highly recommend grabbing a coffee to go from The Goat and sitting in the adirondack chairs that overlook the pasture. I promise, you will thank me later if you do.
After watching the sunset over the pasture, Meghan and I enjoyed a glass of bubbly in the sun room. We then enjoyed a short walk to dinner at the Granary Restaurant.
No trip away with girlfriends is complete without getting comfy in your pjs and having girl talk. Fearrington made this time even more relaxing with our turndown service accompanied with fine port and another tasting of their housemade chocolate.
Whether you’re in dire need of relaxation or want to give a unique gift for Christmas, I highly recommend the Fearrington Village Inn. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our stay here.
Shout out to Matt from Raleigh Photography for capturing our stay.
All outfits are from Uniquities Chapel Hill, which is just a short drive from the Fearrington.
