I’m sad to say that our fall mountain weekend has come to an end. Will and I were able to extend our stay through this morning, so that helped a little with my mountain blues. When the weather is absolute perfection (mid 6os and sunny), and the leaves on the trees are at their peak it’s hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful place.
Typically when I’m in the mountains my outfits are very casual. This is our place for rest & relaxation, so comfortable clothes are what I live in. Since Will and I stayed an extra night, we were able to squeeze in a date night. This look that I’m wearing was perfect just for that. Still a fairly casual outfit, but with the detailed booties and accessories, I felt “cute” for going out with my hubby.
My most favorite part of this outfit is definitely the new poncho I purchased. I honestly felt like I was wearing a blanket when I put it on. I LOVED it. Seriously, Will and I have a running joke that I always need to carry a blanket with me because I get so cold. Once he even gave me a snuggie blanket as a joke.
Nonetheless, this poncho was perfect for a night out in the mountains. It was also the inspiration for the whole outfit. I played off its multi neutral colors by incorporating black, white, tan, and grey into the look. I think it would also look great with fall colors like rust, army  green, and even my beloved wine color 🙂 – I can already tell it will make many an appearance this fall season!
