It’s Friday Eve! Can I get an “amen”?!
We had a terrible storm last night. Our power actually went out sometime around 1:30am. The alarm and smoke detectors went off, which made Mindi freak out. This went on for a few of hours so yeah, Will and I felt like zombies this morning.

The past couple of weeks we have had a lot of rain and thunderstorms. The denim and booties I chose for this outfit are two items that have remained in my closet for awhile now. Citizens of Humanity makes my most favorite dark wash skinny jean called the ‘Avedon‘. Believe it or not I’ve had this pair since I was in college! They have withstood many, many seasons and all of my clumsy habits. Nicer quality apparel is an investment upfront, but in the long run it’s worth it when items hold up for years.
My booties from Lucky Brand were a pair I purchased over a year ago. They were my most favorite casual booties from last fall and winter. What I love most about them is how well the leather wore. They now feel super soft and have sort of a rugged look. The best price I can currently find on them is at Dillard’s here. I have them in the ‘toffee’ color but they come in several other color options as well.
