Every time I look through these photos I hear The Beatles song “Strawberry Fields Forever” playing in my head. Except it sounds a little more like “Sunflower Fields Forever”, ha!

As soon as I found this fully bloomed sunflower field I immediately thought of a summer style shoot here. I mean, it doesn’t really get much more gorgeous than a sunflower backdrop.

After putting together a simple summer outfit we headed out to the field for a photoshoot! I would like to add that it was my husband’s idea to shoot here at sunrise. So yeah, we woke up at 4:30am in order to get to this spot on time. Call us crazy, but I think the results were definitely worth our efforts.This top is actually from TJ Maxx for $19.99. She gave it to me when I was 13 and I’ve worn it hundreds of times since then. My most favorite way to wear it is with simple outfits like this.Will and I let Mindi tag along for this particular shoot. Waking up at the crack of dawn, walking (in her case running) down trails, and exploring fields are all things she loves. It’s hard to not take that sweet face with us everywhere we go!Speaking of going places… Will and I are heading out of town today for our 3 year anniversary trip!
