Shower season is here! No, I don’t mean the whole ‘April showers, bring May flowers’ thing. I’m talking about bridal and baby showers! These monumental times in our friends and families lives call for celebrating. Whether you’re invited to attend a brunch, luncheon, or cocktail party you have to find an outfit to wear.
This outfit I’m wearing from Versona is perfect for a daytime or casual night party. I love how this shift dress isn’t too form fitting (because we all know these parties always have great food and drinks!!). Plus, this dress is very on-trend right now with the cold shoulder sleeve. With a pop of pink in the lip and earrings, this outfit was made complete with a neutral sandal.
Unfortunately, a few of these items are only sold in-store at Versona, but I’ve linked similar items above under the first outfit photo. I’ve also added below a SUPER easy recipe that is perfect for any shower. I made these strawberry cream cheese pinwheels a couple of months ago for a brunch and they were a hit! Everyone was asking, “what’s the recipe, Danielle?!”. I was a little embarrassed to tell them truly how simple it was to make.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Pinwheels Recipe (via)
-8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
-1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
– A pinch of cinnamon
-4-5 flour tortillas
Combine cream cheese, cinnamon, and strawberries. Stir until well blended.
Lay tortillas out flat and spread cream cheese mixture on each tortilla. Once spread roll tortillas up.
Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight).
When ready to serve, cut into slices about 1-1½” thick.
Plate and garish with fresh strawberries.
