I am SO excited to share with you all what I’ve been up to lately regarding a living room update. Meghan, writer of Champagne and Suburbs blog, contacted me a little while ago about wanting to refinish a piece of our furniture. She is starting a side biz soon in refinishing furniture. After seeing a few of her pieces on her blog I told her, “yes!” without any hesitation. I have no doubt that she will succeed tremendously with this new venture (and you will too once you see her gorgeous work!).
We decided to use a table from my husband’s grandmother who sadly passed away in December. Meghan went above and beyond to make this piece extra special. I’m not exaggerating either. She stayed in constant communication with me, sent me photos of paint colors, and photos of each step of her painting process. She even brought a color sample for me to see in person at our Galentine’s Brunch. As her client, she made me feel extremely confident that this family antique was in great hands.
When we placed the finished table in our living room we were stunned at how perfect it looked. Not only is it gorgeous, but it has been a great reminder of the love shared around it for many years. I’ve enjoyed listening to my husband’s memories about it. Pillow forts, superhero figurine battles, and hide-in-go seek were a few of his adventures that took place around this table.
Thank you, Meghan for going above and beyond to create a piece of furniture we will treasure forever! P.S. it appears our sweet Mindi loves it as well 🙂
