The past two weekends my husband and I have headed to western NC to spend some time in the mountains. If it were up to us, we would stay up there for an entire month :).

It has been wonderful to finally break out my winter sweaters. This Old Navy sweater in particular has been on repeat the past two weeks. I have found myself wearing it casually with leggings or even layered like I did for this look with a flannel from Land’s End. These layers were perfect for the cool, crisp mountain air.

Speaking of cool mountain air, as we were leaving Sunday we drove through snow! Seeing the first snow fall of the year made me giddy like a little kid on Christmas. I’m hoping for an actual snow day soon here at home. Lots of layered looks will be in the works until then!
