It’s looking like NC will be finishing off 2015 with a lot of rain. How convenient is it that my favorite Christmas gift was the Hunter Ankle Boots?!

I had been eyeing these babies for quite some time after shopping in Monkee’s of Greenville. I was so tickled when I opened them up  Christmas day. The Ankle Boots (not to be confused with the Short Original Hunter Boot) are perfect for any casual outfit on a rainy day. What I love most about these boots are the low block heels that can give any outfit that extra “umph”.

I plan to wear Hunter short boot socks with these boots as the weather gets cooler. For this particular outfit, I thought these Free People socks were more suiting. As for my jacket, I purchased this YEARS ago just before my study abroad trip to England pursuing my degree in apparel merchandising. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Great in all weather, this jacket also features roll-up sleeves that button up as well as a hideaway hood.

If you’re interested in purchasing my boots or jacket I would suggest to size down in both. Typically I’m a size 8 in boots, but a size 7 in these boots fit perfectly. I also purchased a size extra small in the jacket when I’m usually a size small/medium. Let me know if you have any more questions while shopping this look!
