This past weekend my family and I traveled west to Valle Crucis, NC – a rural town nestled between Boone and Banner Elk. We had quite the adventurous weekend with apple picking, haunted train rides, and listening to folk music at the Old Hampton Store. We couldn’t have asked for more perfect fall weather. Sunny, clear blue skies with a high of 65 during the day and temps in the 30s at night. Most of our time was spent away from the cabin so I planned layered outfits for all of the outdoor adventures. During the cooler mornings I bundled up in this jacket and scarf. As the day grew warmer a plaid button up, denim, and boots were all I needed.
